Who knew Darius Rucker (Hootie) went country!!

I saw on Thursday that Darius Rucker (Hootie from Hootie and the Blowfish) has gone country. I was amazed. Then this morning while getting ready for church I heard his new song called..."It won't be like this for long" I cried!! It is so lovely. Please find a way to listen to it. I hope that it speaks to you like it did to me!!!

So here is just a quick update of our last week or so!! Aunt Caroline took some pictures at Thanksgiving but I have not gotten them yet, once I do I will update again!!

He is really starting to love his little man chair! We got him a tray and we are found that it made him like his chair that much more!!

We walked around the corner the other day and this is what we saw...he did not turn his head to look at us, just is eyes! He is so goofy!

So we went and got our hair cut on Saturday morning, and took Logie Bear with us! As you can see he is happy as a clam, playing with Hombre (our little toy cow - we have a frog that we call Senior Frog) and his toes!!!

Then apparently I did something wrong because I started talking to him and this is what I got...this is the equivalent of the silent treatment!! (as I told my mother pay back is a b****)

Still, several minutes later still not "talking" to me! Love the attitude at 6 months!

Can you say GOOBER! This will be blackmail when he is 16!

We did a food drive for some families in our ward and we were the drop off point/organizers. I was so happy that we had so much food! It was an amazing reminder of what this time of year is really about. Bob and I got a chance to really think about all that we have and how wonderfully blessed we are. I remember as a young girl hearing that if you loose your self in the service of others you would forget your worries...if there is anything that I can say I am the most grateful for it is knowing that is true! I am so grateful that we have had a chance to serve those around us and that we have hopefully provided some joy to others this holiday season!

I am so grateful to have a mom and a dad that are always there for me, no matter what it is...even if it is my mother laughing (for a while) when I am on the phone with her and feeding Logan and he spits a mouth full of formula all over me! I know that I can count on them to bring me up when I am down and to help me see the light at the end of the tunnel!! I am so grateful for Logan, he is what makes my world go round! I can not wait to wake up everyday to see what new thing he will learn or figure out! What a miracle the little ones are! I am grateful for Bob, I know no matter what it is that we are faced with we are in it together and no matter how different we are we will find our "groove"! I love my family and my friends and can not imagine my life without them!

I LOVE YOU!!

the awesomeness of technology!!! (take 2)

I love technology!! I can scrapbook my blog!!! This is amazing!

Early Christmas at the Ulmer House

It was an early Christmas for Logan at our house this weekend. We got him an ExerSaucer yesterday. He seems to love it! HURRAY!!!!! We finally dont have to hold him and his toys in order to play with something. He was in it for about 30 min!!! That seemed like eternity to Bob and I.

He was so fun to watch explore the new toy!

Happy baby, he was trying to figure out how to spin the little chair he is in around.

He was watching the Bucs beat the Vikings...daddy is so proud!!!!

He was just a little too tired, if you can see he has his head resting on his hand!!! Too cute!

This is the real Prisoner of Azkaban. This is how we found our little prisoner the other morning! Holding on to the bar to boot!!
Also please note that my background has changed, I could not have a "Fall" backgroud in Florida. It has been 90 degrees all week! So it is a little more neutral!!

Just for fun!

We had a busy week last week. We had church meetings, game night, enrichment night, a church service activity and we spoke at church. So here are a few pictures of our eventful week/weekend!

Logan saying..."Waz Up?"

Then Logan saying, "This was too much work for me!"

Being such a big boy in his stroller! The first time we have put him in it this way! He was so super happy with himself!

Logan and Mommy...we were the instruction givers and the picture takers!

This was tonight! He is really in love with his toes! And was getting ready to go face forward out of the swing! Thank heaven I have a tray thing that I can click on the swing!

This is my little Prisoner of Azkaban. Please note that his hands are hanging out of the crib!

He looked to funny with his hands sticking out of the "bars."

This was tonight, too! He looks so big in the tub. We have put the towel in there so he does not slip around. He loves to kick around and splash and watch the bubbles! He is so fun these days!

5 Months Old

I worked from home today and was able to catch some fun pictures of Logan on his 5 month b-day! He is so funny. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY Aunt Carlee and Loggie Bear! We all love you both and can't imagine our lives without you!

This is his new kissie face/raspberry blowing face! It is awesome...

London Bridge is falling down, falling down...he is a scootcher these days.

This is just too cute! I love his little/big cheeks...

I think he is thinking, "What is my mommy doing? She just keeps taking pictures!"

Last, but not least, my FAVORITE picture of all time! I love his little face. He is such a sweet and happy baby. He was just chatting away! What a big boy he is becoming. These have been five of the most amazing months of our life and we can not imagine our life any different!

Grab your tissues...you will need them!

I saw this on Oprah the other day. I have been meaning to post this and now I have time to do it so here it is! I love this video, it reminds us of what having a child means. It is a gift that Heavenly Father provides us to feel the greatest joy! We are so blessed to have Logan as a part of our life. He brings us the most amazing joy and happiness.

As a warning, I promise you...this video will make you cry. It is so very touching. The parents in this video are so kind and are so happy to have their little one!!

Weekend Pictures!

A few more pictures from this weekend...Bob's College Program friends got together for a little reunion. It was fun to meet them and have a little time for them all to think about the "Good Old Days"

Logan, Maggie and mommy playing with the fun balls! They are so much fun!! I got this picture from Miss Beth! Thanks for taking fun pictures!

This is Logan on the way home from the College Program get together! It was a party in his seat with Senor' Frog, Little Doggie and my Bubba.

He looks so big in this picture!

Logan and I have a little cold so he was awake all of last night! Hurray for being up all night! He was having a hard time with his stuffy nose so I held and slept with him in the recliner. We got up and got ready for church.
This is the point in the blog that I am going to vent...
I am not sure if others feel this way or have had this experience, but why is it that having a child makes people think that they have the right to tell you how to raise or take care of your baby. I find it highly offensive that people that I don't know, let alone have never spoken to assume that I need them to tell me what I need to do with Logan. It was not that she was sharing with me something that worked for her, she was basically telling me that I was not taking care of him and he was not developmentally where he should be. She told me all about what his drooling meant...are you kidding me. I might not have everything figured out and I may only have one but he is MY child and MY GREATEST responsibility so his welfare is the #1 thing on my list! There were 3 women today at church, none of which I have ever spoken to that told me what I was doing wrong! UGH, okay I am done - just a little frustrated! Okay headache is taking over...time for bed!

1st Halloween

So the pictures are in the backwards order of how they actually happened, but it would be too much work to move them all around so we are going in the backward order of our day of events!!

Mommy, Sleepy Logan and Aunt Caroline at her party! Mommy was a Cow Girl, Logan was a cow and Caroline was a scarecrow!!!

I just love this picture of Caroline holding my little cow!

At the Mangum's our little man was chatting everyone up!! I think he is thinking..."what me?"

I think this looks like a baby stand off...seeing who can get to the balls first! I love Logan but I think Mags is faster.

Maggie as a Lady Bug...

This is Mags from the back - how cute is she!

My little Loggie Bear!!!!!!!!!!!

Daddy and little cow Logan!!

The little munchkins sitting on the sidewalk hanging out together!

Maggie really wanted to take Logan's hat off!!

I think this looks like Maggie is Sleeping Beauty waiting to be kissed by Prince Charming!! I love it!

I just think they are so cute! Look at Logan's face..not so happy about the pictures.

Maggie wanted to see if Logan's foot tasted like her toes!

Mommy, Loggie Bear, Kimmi and Jack...We were so happy to see them! Jack was a monkey and Kimmi was a bananna!

Kloe, Gabbie, Logan and Kody...Anggie (the kids mom) watches Logan during the week for us! He really likes hanging out with the Carey's

So that was our Halloween! We had a very nice time.
