Happy and Sad...

So as you can see I have changed my background on the blog, I was in need of a change and I think this one is easier to read. Not much has happened in our house over the past few days. I do realize that if I went a few more days in between posts that I would have more to write but I just really like doing it! It is my version of scrapbooking and with all of our family and many friends in other states this is the best way for them to keep up with our ever growing little man. We went to Bobby and Beth's on Saturday for lunch and some much needed "hanging out" with adults. The babies had a very nice time and so did the grown ups. I forgot the camera, for the first time since Logan was born I think, so those pictures will follow when I get them from Beth. We got some good ones. We are debating what we will be doing tomorrow, it is Labor Day and I don't have to go to work so we wanted to do something fun. We had talked about going to the beach, but given that there is a hurricane in the Gulf and on the East Coast we figure that might not be our best idea!! However, we would probably have the run of the beach! Some random pictures from the last few days...we go from happy to sad to happy again with in seconds these days so right or wrong I took pictures of the meltdowns today!! ENJOY!

SAD LOGAN :(

2 minutes later, just hanging out (outfit #2)

This is for Mimi...thanks mom for all of the cute clothes. I love getting him dressed in the morning because he has so many fun outfits. Please note that this is outfit #3 for today.

Our new church outfit (#1) and not super happy that dad is taking his pcture again...I wonder if he is thinking in his little head "what is wrong with these people"

Just love this picture...

Mommy and Logan, I came home for lunch on Friday (bad idea I did not want to go back to work so I made Bob take this picture so I could make it my desktop picture)

He was trying to tell his parents that he was tired at the Mangum's...they did not believe him, until we gave him a bottle and this fantastic face presented itself...I love him!

6 months??

We have officially moved on to 6 month outfits... :( Bob and I were so sad to put some of the little 0-3 month outfits. So here are some pictures of our new outfits. We had the enrichment night activity at our house tonight so for the first time in 2 months, 3 weeks and 1 day I did not get to put Logan to bed. I was very sad, I love our bedtime ritual...we get in jammies, we give daddy a kiss, we get all snuggled, we have a bottle and we sing all of our favorite songs.
  • Danny Boy
  • Families Can Be Together Forever
  • I am a Child of God
  • You are my Sunshine
  • A Child's Prayer
  • I'm Trying to be Like Jesus

SO here are some pictures of our sweet boy!

Look at that face!

Sitting up like a big boy! I love this dino shirt.

I LOVE THE CRABS...
He was all smiles with daddy tonight.

Working from home...

I worked from home today, and I was a little worried because I had a conference call and from what Bob had said Logan had been a handful the last few days of last week. He would not sleep and was kind of cranky...so I prepared myself. Yeah, he was awake for all of 5 hours all day. He just kept sleeping. So those are the only pictures that I got today where of him sleeping or him waking up. Bob and I had been talking about documenting his wake up because we think it is just so cute...at some point I am sure we will stop capturing everything that he does but until then anyone that reads our blog will get to experience it all with us!! I also added a few pictures from the weekend. Enjoy!

"Where is Waldo??
This is how we start to wake up, stretch and yawn...

Then we stretch some more (I wish that I could insert the noises they are so funny)
Then we do the turn and stretch, he does this a few times turning from side to side...
Then all of a sudden...OH, I think I want to be awake now.

and finally I see mommy or daddy and then he is all smiles (his whole body gets excited now when he sees us. It is so fun)

I love when he is asleep like this in my arms. His cheeks just keep getting bigger :)

To much has happened to title this post!!!!

So, mommy is back at work. That is the biggest thing that has happened over the past week. I am happy to have a wonderful job. I am also happy to be back at work using the "work" side of my brain as well as the "mommy" side of my brain. However, my first day back I was rushing around doing work for the hurricane that was coming...it turned out to be some rain and wind (a normal afternoon for us here in Florida).

We have also been blessed to have an oportunity to have Bob be able to be home with Logan, so not only is that less worry for me but I get picutres several times a day...what day care would do that for me :)

I am the Enrichment Night person in our ward and I am putting together my first one. I am excited to be able to have a calling and to be able to have a home just the right size to have the sisters in the ward over!! Bob and Logan are going to have a guys night out (or upstairs).

I am so grateful to my mom for listening to me worry and cry about going back to work, but she was right it all just came together in the end. I am so blessed to have Bob as my husband, Heavenly Father knew exactly what I needed. He is getting up with Logan in the night and feeding him (we are now a formula family) so that I can sleep. He is so supportive of everything I want for myself as well as things I want for our family. I could not ask for a better partner, friend and father of my son.

Logan had just finished eating and was just looking at me, he is so sweet.

This is my poster that I made for my enrichment night activity! (hand colored)

He is all smiles lately.

He was hanging out with dad, and dad was talking to him and he just fell asleep!

Like I said ALL smiles! It makes everything worth it when he looks at you like this!

This one was because I love the faces that he makes!

Chillin with daddy and hangin with Maggie!

Tonight Logan and Bob made us dinner. We have had a tough few days, Logan is starting the teething process...yes he is only 2 months old and it had already begun :(
So when we had a good day we wanted to document that we did have a happy baby, so I took tons of pictures and I am posting the best of what I took.

He was just chillin'

All smiles!

He just looks so serious sometimes and so handsome!

Their first date, Maggie and Logan. You can see Bobby's hand in the picture. We all knew he would want to chaperone.

One More

I just had to add this last one. We were at the mall on Saturday, Bob and I got a drink and we were sitting on a bench and took Logan out of the stroller. I started talking to him and this is the face that we got!!!! I LOVE HIM!

On a Sunday afternoon!

We had a nice (hot) Sunday afternoon with the Mangum and Hayes families! I just told Bob that I wanted to post all of the picutes they are so fun. This is the first time that all of the boys and all of the babies were together. We have all at one time or another been together but never all 3 boys at the same time since Logan was born.

Mommy, Logan, Beth, Maggie, Kelly and Riley!!

Maggie and Logan...can you hear "Some Enchanted Evening"?

All the mom's with the girls in the background!! Riley all of a sudden really wanted to hug all over Maggie, much to Bobby's dismay.

All the daddies and babies! Todd, Riley, Bobby, Maggie, Bob and Logan.

I just had to put this on in.

I could not pick which one I wanted to add...

The boys kissing on Maggie...Madison said to Todd, "Daddy maybe when they all get big they will all like eachother." We think they will all be good friends.

Just for fun!

We had a great day yesterday, save the fact that I tried to post this yesterday and it gave me several errors...silly blog. So we went to lunch with Bob, Caroline, Jamie and Alan. As you can see below Alan and Logan had a moment.

My little burrito. We swaddle him in this awesome little thing that Bobby and Beth gave us. We love it. However he is Heman and can break free by morning. Bob sugested that we try some duct tape.

Aunt Caroline had not seen us in a while so she came to hang out with us for the afternoon. She and Logan had a very nice little visit while I got ready for the day. He just sat and stared at her, and kept smiling. I love him so much, he is so happy!!

"The Tank"

So Bob sent this picture to our family in celebration of Logan's 2 month birthday yesterday. We celebrated by taking a bath in preparation for our Dr appt today. My mother called me today and said that she and my sister had been talking about this picture and that they had a new name for him (his current name was Rip...if you have seen the comercial that says "your son rip is on line toot" you will know why we called him that)...so his new name is The Tank, he is a new super hero. Our Dr appt went well, here are some of the things we learned today.

  • We weigh 12 lbs 1 oz
  • we do not like shots (mom almost more then Logan)
  • We are in the 50 percentile
  • Dr Marla loves us
  • We are freakishly strong...this is not new knowledge but we noted it again today

So we went over to Todd and Kelly's house tonight and had dinner with Todd and the kids...Kelly was out of town. Maddie is in pink and Macy is in green, this is the model face I just could not resist putting this one out there, they are getting so big I can not believe it.

Bob and Logan, he did not sleep thru this swiming venture he actually really really liked it...

Riley Hayes...he will be 1 in September. What a cutie.

The boys in the hot tub and the girls in the pool...what fun we had. It is always fun to see the kids and the girls loved Logan. Macy wanted to help with everything, infact Logan had a dirty diaper and Todd told her she had to change it and she looked at him and said "Oh ok daddy..." and then followed Bob to change him. She is getting so old and as always very entertaining to watch!!!!

First Pool Visit

Given that we live in Florida and Bob is the Director of Recreation we like going to the pool. So we had to have a day at the pool with Logan. I took several pictures of the totally wild time that we had.

Yep that is a big big yawn!!!! He slept throught the whole pool experience and like good parents we put him in the water anyway!!!

We then woke up long enough to eat...mom feeding Logan.

Daddy with a sleeping Logan in the pool!

Almost awake...

Awake just in time to leave. Daddy said that he looked like a boxer, we called him "The One Eyed Wonder". Thanks to Ms Leslie Bell for sending us so many fun outfits...this one was perfect for pool day.

And after a long hard day at the pool sleeping, we came home took a shower with daddy, had dinner and then fell asleep again. All in all it was a good day for mom, dad and Logan!
